It’s happening! This crucial fight will see one of the most dominant bantamweight fighters take to the Octagon. Former world champion, T.J. Dillashaw returns and will face number two ranked title contender, Cory Sandhagen.
Dillashaw looks to reclaim his belt after being out of the competition for 28 months. He was suspended for testing positive for EPO in Jan 2019. The suspension came after his first round TKO loss in his flyweight title fight to then champion, Henry Cejudo.
Previously Dillashaw was fresh off a four-fight winning streak, which saw him pick up victories against Raphael Assuncao and John Lineker. His scorecard also saw him dominate over rival Cody Garbrandt after taking back-to-back wins.
Sandhagen meanwhile is looking to cement his spot as division champion, as former bantamweight champion Petr Yan was recently stripped of his belt after he illegally kneed his opponent, Aljamain Sterling in the head during his recent UFC 259 fight.
His track record has seen him dominate. Recently he’s added two back-to-back TKO victories against Frankie Edgar and Marlon Moraes. Despite losing to Aljamain Sterling at UFC 250 in June, he’s had five straight wins where he defeated John Lineker, Raphael Assuncao, and Mario Bautista.
Will Sandhagen be the next title champion?
