Frankie Edgar, is finally getting his shot to dethrone ‘Blessed’.

In what is a long-awaited re-booking of two previously cancelled encounters, the current featherweight champion, Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway (20-3-0), will take on challenger, Frankie ‘The Answer’ Edgar (23-6-1).

This will be Holloway’s return to the featherweight division, after failing to claim an interim lightweight title in UFC 236. Prior to this loss against Dustin Poirier, Holloway had won 13 consecutive bouts including title fight victories over Brian Ortega, Jose Aldo (twice) and Anthony Pettis.

Edgar and Holloway have twice been scheduled to fight, once in 2017 and in 2018, however both meetings were derailed due to injuries to both athletes. This time around Edgar is ready to claim the win, ‘I know the UFC likes to reward people who are willing to let it fly. I’ve done that my whole career, I’m ready for the reward.”
