UFC Fight Night: Vieira vs Tate

  • Sports Bar Near You (map)

Miesha Tate is back! The former bantamweight champion retired in 2016, but will quash that in her upcoming headline fight with Ketlen Vieira. Has she still got what it takes? Meanwhile Vieira looks to pick up a win after her recent loss to Yana Kunitskaya last February. Just one spot separates the two, with Tate ranked at #8 and Vieira at #7. Who will it be?

For Tate this will be her second fight since ending a nearly five year retirement from the Octagon. Prior, her UFC career saw her defeat former Women's Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm and snag multiple wins against the likes of Marion Reneau, Jessica Eye, Sara McMann, Rin Nakai and Julie Kedzie. She however took blows to guns of the Octagon including Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey.

Can she come back and get another shot against Amanda Nunes?

Meanwhile Ketlen Vieira also looks for a title fight as she works her way up. She’s recently seen alternating wins and losses over her last three fights. She won against Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision, but was defeated by Yana Kunitskaya and Irene Aldana. Prior, she didn’t drop a fight and held a solid four-fight streak.

Will Vieira turn the tables against Tate?

Co-headlining the fight will be Kennedy Nzechukwu and Da-Un Jung. The two will clash in a light heavyweight bout. Jung has so far won three of four fights, with his loss to Sam Alvey blemishing his streak. The winner of this fight could jump into the top 15 light heavyweight rankings.Who will it be?

TBC for co-headline fights.
