UFC Fight Night: Font vs. Aldo

  • Sports Bar Near You (map)

This December, former featherweight champion Jose Aldo (#5), and #4 ranked Rob Font will throw hands in a bantamweight contender fight. Both are riding on consecutive streaks and look to snag another win when they meet in the Octagon for the first time in their UFC careers. With only one spot separating the two, this will be a must-see match!

Aldo steps into the Octagon with two straight victories to his name. In his most recent fights he defeated Pedro Munhoz and Marlon Vera via unanimous decision. Although losing the belt to Peter Yan during UFC 151, Aldo is one of the most decorated former champions in MMA history. He was the first UFC featherweight champion and has the most title defenses in UFC featherweight history. He’s also faced the big guns of the division including McGregor, Volkanovski and Holloway.

Can he prove that he’s still championship material?

Opposing Aldo is Font, who enters this match with an impressive four fight win streak. In his most recent outing he defeated former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt via unanimous decision. His back-to-back wins has also seen him take down Marlon Moraes, Ricky Simon and Sergio Pettis. Previously Font fought in the featherweight and lightweight divisions, but looks to be comfortable in the bantamweight division.

Will Font make this fight his fifth win in a row?

The winner of this fight will likely get a shot at the title belt. Who will it be?

TBC for co-headline fights.
