The UFC has dropped the UFC 251 headlining bouts, and they didn’t pull any punches. Announcing three title fights in one go.
Australia’s greatest fighter and current featherweight champion, Alex Volkanovski will defend his belt against fan favourite, Max Holloway.
This exact bout took place in December last year, where Volkanovski was successful in maintaining his perfect record by stunning Holloway to retain the belt. However, Holloway has returned for revenge, hoping to claim the belt and to regain a title he previously held.
Kamaru Usman is also set to take on Jorge Masvidal, pending a negative Covid-19 test, after his original competitor, Gilbert Burns tested positive just this week.
For the third bout, a deciding fight between Petr Yan and Jose Aldo will determine the vacant bantamweight belt.
Held on the newly-dubbed ‘Fight Island’, fighters will be heading to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, where fights for the next month will be held in private locations with no crowds, broadcasted out to the fans.
