Clear your Sunday schedule and pencil UFC 235 in at your local pub as it shapes up to be one of the biggest cards in recent memory!
Jon Jones after ending his 15 month layoff with the reclamation of the light heavyweight title will headline UFC 235 defending his belt against Anthony Smith. After a 2018 campaign featured a career resurgence at 205 lbs, earning stoppage wins over two legends in Rashad Evans and Mauricio Rua plus top-five-ranked Volkan Oezdemir, Smith solidified his spot as one of the top contenders for the belt.
In the co-main event welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will defend his title against Kamaru Usman. Woodley had over a year off in between his last two fights. During that time he dealt with a nagging shoulder injury that wound up being surgically repaired. He had a triumphant return in September of 2018 when he crushed Darren Till to retain his title at UFC 228. Usman has defeated every person the UFC has put in front of him throughout his time with the company, and his three wins in 2018 were enough to push him past Colby Covington and get him a shot at Woodley’s belt.
Besides 2 massive title fights this card only gets better featuring bouts with former UFC title holders Robbie Lawler and Cody Garbrandt as they continue their quests back to reclaim the belts they once held.
