Canelo Alvarez is set to face Daniel Jacobs in a huge middleweight bout taking place at T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, with up to three major world titles on the line.

Best known as Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez (51-1-2, 35 KO’s), the Mexican professional boxer is a titan of the sport. Holding multiple world championships across three weight classes including the unified WBA, WBC, Ring Magazine and lineal middleweight titles since September 2018, Canelo will put it all on the line returning to the middleweight division as he faces Daniel ‘Miracle Man’ Jacobs.

Daniel Jacobs (35-2-29 KO’s) is an American fighter and current holder of the IBF title belt. Popular for his exceptional punching power with an 81% knockout-to-win ratio, Jacobs is mostly known for his career nearly being cut short in 2011 due to a rare form of bone cancer. After 19 months out of the sport, Jacobs made his successful return in late 2012 with a first-round knockout victory.

Critics are warning this is a fight not to be missed, with experts placing Canelo as the odds on favourite to take the win and the additional belt. Jacobs is not to be written out however, given his huge height and reach advantage over the Mexican, anything could happen.
